I could probably install it in the kitchen, or maybe even a closet, but don't know how to set up the water supply or drainage... I also know I have to be aware of ventilation for the dryer.

I am aware of smaller, portable washing machines with a hose that can be attached to a kitchen sink (as your water supply and drainage). These roll in and out of the way quite easily.

As for a dryer, you are absolutely right ... you will need ventilation and I'm not sure how to get around that problem. The only idea I would have is to hook up your exhaust hose near a window and open that window every time you run the dryer (this would really be dependent on your local climate though ...).

You would also be wise to obtain your landlord/landlady's permission and purchase apartment tenant's insurance (to cover any potential flooding in your suite).

When I lived in a apt with no washer /dryer hookup I just got a portable washer that hooks up to the sink it did very well. I was happy to have it. I lived on the second floor. the people underneath never notice, As for the dryer I had a portable dryer that hooked up to a regular plug, and I had a vent hose on the back of it I just let it go out into the room but I put a stocking at the end of the hose to catch any lint. Clean it often. Hope this was helpful. :)

The portable washer would be your best idea.It hooks up to
your faucet for water supply and drains right back into your sink.
There are ventless exhaust systems that hook on to the back of your dryer. It is a container with a filter and when it gets full you
empty the container.Check your plumbing supply store or where
they sell the brand of dryer you want.
Good Luck.

the position would you position it? there is more beneficial to it than basically putting some holes in the wall and dealing some hoses! If there is not any longer an area for a w/d then there's a reason. You do comprehend electric powered dryers take 220 potential? What in the adventure that your circuit breaker (once you've one) container is in trouble-free terms one hundred ten? in case you want gasoline, that must be put in too. If I were the owner, i'd possibly say no. and that i imagine it would cost a lot more beneficial than you're wondering to get plumbing AND electric powered it is as a lot as code to placed this in.

All good ideas, if you go with the ventless dryer container, you must be diligent on keeping the container cleaned. Why not take a shot asking the landlord to provide the plumbing.
