Do you think Cristiano Ronaldo would have been as big in English Football, if the likes of Vinnie Jones was still around?
I'm just saying this cause, with Cristiano diving alot, used to fuel the likes of Vinnie Jones to go in harder on the likes of Ronaldo

In any sport you can not compare an old player to the present ones because we need to understand today soccer if very physical and most of those who where good you never know if they would be good with present situation...
Look how Ronaldinho dribbles in Spain but when they are given an english team he doesn't shine as much he does in spain.
Do you think the likes of Viera, Essien, Makelele would let Pele dribble them like he used to... Now if you dribble more than twice the player starts thinking on taking you out with a tackle without even minding a red card.

If Vinnie Jones and those like him who used to play Football, were still playing, you would see a lot of the ones who are playing in today's Football Games, making excuses why they did not want to play. It was a total different kettle of fish then. Most of the Footballers were real Men instead of only a few. But can I add I think it`s a tad unfair just to use Cristiano Ronaldo as he is not the only DIVER who play`s Football today.

Vinnie Jones wouldnt survive in the modern game, he would constantly be sent off.......... Ronaldo wouldnt have lasted in Vinnie Jones time because he would have simply been kicked off the park.

George Best had silky skills and back then defenders were even worse than vinnie, ronnaldo would have made the likes of Jonesy look like a proper plum - red cards all day long, and mugged him off with tricks - agression only works when you can catch a player.

it would be a picture lol stick Jones chopper razor Ruddock and Julian Dicks up against the Portuguese poser lol there would be tears they would absolutely slaughter him and i agree they would go in harder on him he would be on that plane to Madrid quicker then anything lol (good charity match idea)
