That's totally over the top. Next, people will get 6 months for making faces at other motorists. Glaring gets you 30 days.
Unreal. While I don't condone what she did, what real harm did her actions cause to the other driver? None.

So this crazy lady races up to a car and chucks a pop at the other driver because she doesn't like his driving. Not to mention she had 3 little kids in the car. Nice parenting. Anybody who gets hit by a pop from another driver is going to call the police and want something done. She should have been arrested, just because she had 3 kids and her husband is an Iraq doesn't give her the right to do this. What if she lost control of her car and killed somebody. What if the other driver lost control and killed somebody. I think two years is a little too much unless she has a prior criminal history but I sure don't feel sorry for her because she had to spend a few weeks in jail.
I can't believe how stupid people are saying "it was only a cup of ice and nobody got hurt". They would be the first ones calling 911 if this happened to them.

Damn, I know how she feels.
I came very close to throwing an egg at someone once. I had a bag of groceries on the seat next to me and some jerk cut me off in the most dangerous way. If I thought I could throw with any accuracy with my left hand I would have nailed him.
Any, I got over that by installing a little gizmo in my car that makes machine gun and "laser" noises. You can't hear them from outside but I can pretend I'm blasting the idiots on the road and it gets it out of my system so I don't do something I'll regret.

You know........ it's things like this that really get my temper up. This country needs an enema. I think that the backbone people of this country need to all buy a special notebook and start a sh1tlist. Then work to bring the names on their list DOWN. Commonwealth's Attorney Daniel M. Chichester and Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney George Elsasser just made mine. I'm working on identifying the judge and jury members. I think it's time for a little payback. Enough is enough. A cup of ice..... 2 years. Anyone connected with that decision that didn't just stand up and block it needs a wakeup.

Amazing that someone so stupid could be given so much authority. What a complete jack***.
To charge this woman with a law that was clearly written to fight terrorism is an abuse of power. It was a cup of ice for pete sake.
What did this a**hole charge the other driver, Ballin, with? It was his reckless driving that caused the entire incident. How many years did he get?? Clearly he should have been charged with 5 counts of attempted murder for cutting these people off twice on a highway.
WOW, what a Moron.

The US is becoming a police state. Incidents like this are going to become quite common.
While I agree she was wrong. The sentence should fit the crime and in this case it does not.

If the judge doesn't reduce the charges to community service or maybe some anger management classes, then that is just wrong.

Lesson learned here - your actions have consequenses. This lady basically was pissed off because of what was happening on the road. Not because her husband was in Iraq. The punishment is a little severe in my opinion, but the law needs to be enforced.
