Sound Proof Floor?
I live in an old House converted in to 3 Apartments that has no sound isolation in the floor or walls. I can hear my neighbour downstairs even just talking. What is the best way to Sound proof the floor. It has a very thin carpet, Im thinking of putting Foam on Top then Laminate flooring. Is there something better I can buy to sound proof the floor that dose not cost allot of money

We used the tiles in the link below and they work fantastically! The website also has other ideas you could try.

Most companies do not recommend using laminate in a flat as it transmits more noise, even with a foam underflooring.

You would be best to get some sort of soundproofing (i.e. SoundMat) and then a good underlay, then carpetting.
