I can see the day coming soon where the Dems and ACLU will attempt to eliminate it.

Closer than anyone thinks. But someone will have to die before they take my Bible out of my hands.

This just raises the bar for baseless attempts to scare the base to a new level. Not a single person asks the ACLU to eliminate Bibles in churches, because that's where they belong. The Congress has no power, no matter which party is in the majority, to legislate religion. If you can see the day coming where Bibles in churches will be banned, then you are seeing with a blind eye to the facts and are simply trying to get people to fear what they needn't and overlook what they might well need to fear.

I guess it's an unintended consequence of Yahoo Answers ... you get to see what people really think. Eliminate the Bible? I don't see Democrats doing that. It's the Republicans, ironically, who seem to be expanding the government's powers and reach, not to mention using religion for political purposes (not the the Democrats are innocent, either).

Personally, I want the government out of my life and whatever church I choose to attend as much as possible. I believe in the separation of church and state. I think Democrats do, too. And no, I'm not a Democrat.

Not much longer. They are already trying to eliminate it. Especially the so-called Christians who do not believe in the Bible or by salvation by grace-alone...

They will attempt to pervert and twist it around until it is no longer a driving force in the world. That is why God has written the law on our hearts.

I am a Democrat, from a family of them, and each and very one of us is a member of church. All have Bibles and read them. You are paranoid. You make assumptions about what people believe and you don't know jack about it. Trust me, God is not a Republican and I think he would be appalled at what Bush has done. Look at what your great morality has done to the people of Iraq. I find it so odd that you go all to hell about abortion but don't blink and eye when a child there is burned to death by a bomb. Try reading that bible instead of thumping it.

really, you can see that? interesting.

the government does not have any place in a house of worship. just as no one house of worship has any place in a house of government. this is why there is a clear separation of church and state.

the bible isn't the problem with democrats.....

it's people like you who use religion for a political tool instead of redemption!!!!!!

Democrats are for separation of Church and State.

No religion in government, and no government interference in religion.

Got it?
