If I had married my first love I would have missed my real love. I don't think it is necessary to date a lot. But more is better. That doesn't mean have sex with all or any of them. I just don't think you should limit yourself so young. It takes a long time to learn about yourself and who you would be compatible with over time. I do believe most people marry to young and to quick.

marriage is work no matter how much you love each other.

I would have rather dated alot of people before i married. that way when you do find the right person you will not have to look back and wonder what if .. your first love my not be your soul mate for life.. mine wasn't .. date date date different people and when the right one comes along you will know it, then when you settle down you won't wonder if there was something better out there. it is better to date the wrong ones then to marry the wrong one..

Wow, this is a good question. My wife and I married at 22, and she was the only woman I ever dated. I am happy, don't get me wrong, but as a thinking human person, I do wonder about what it might have been like to have been involved with other people. But that's a bit of a fantasy, the reality seems to be that people who date many people (especially if they have sex with them) seem to have a very hard time adjusting to married and family life. So, people should just make the best decision they can with the info they have, and try not to make their head explode thinking of other alternate realities.

in a way yes....because if i had of i probally would have had better judgment on who was right for me...i didn't date much and i married the first guy who showed interest in me...not a wise thing to do...but you learn from you mistakes...

but i also feel that if you truly love the person that it doesn't matter how many people you have dated...just take your time in getting to know the person before making a decision

It is a psychological fact that a girl remembers and becomes attached to the first person she has sex with in life, if she has sex with others after that then it becomes easy for her to keep doin that and she will not be loyal which is what any man settling down wants from a partner. so its better to not mess around before marriage and that your partner hasn't either. That will be a good foundation for a really committed relationship.
