Winter Mountain Climbing????

Question

Why are folks trying to climb mountains, like Mt. Hood, in the Winter? It's dangerous for them, and the people that have to rescue them.

Those people should be fined for the danger they put others in by their reckless planning. No one can anticipate a storm in the winter but if there is a potential for one then they shouldn't even attempt it. I for one don't feel sorry for them when they are caught off guard and could care less if they get rescued. If they are stupid enough to go up then they deserve whatever they get.
