I bought an unlocked motorola krzr and I'm on cingular. I can make and receive calls and messages, but I can't seem to access the web browser. Any suggestions on how to do this?

When I activated my upgraded (locked) phone with Cingular, I needed to read them the IMEI number located on the back of the phone, on the box, or they tell you how to access it on your phone. They may need this number.

But overall, you have to call their customer care and tell them that you want to pay per use for the media net. This happened on my husbands phone and we had to call and tell them that we would pay per use. But depending on how much you are going to use it, I would suggest purchasing a media package. Cingular offers two that would be useful to you. The difference is price and internet usage. The one I have is $19.99 a month for unlimited internet (including e-mail, myspace, downloading, etc.) and both come with a text messaging package. So if you already have a text messaging package, I would take it off if you want to purchase the package.

I included the link below so you can view Cingular's media packages. If you plan to use it alot, trust me, purchase the unlimited because the smaller packages will basically add up to the unlimited anyway.

You need to Call Cingular Wireless, and let them know you have a unlocked phone. They need to register your IMEI to the system, in order for you to get into the browser.

You need to put in the web browser settings. Call customer service and ask to speak to tech support. Somtimes they are nice and will walk you through the settings

the phone needs to be setup with cingular's web settings.

a quick call to them should get the information sent to your phone.
