like after you flush or when it goes down the drain? is it reused ? is it cleaned?

The water that goes down the sink goes to a water treatment facility to get cleaned and reused for watering parks and other uses.
The toilet water goes to a sewer treatment facility, to get cleaned and the water gets pumped out 3 miles into the ocean.

This may shock you but,
the water we are drinking today is the same water that prehistoric man drank, washed in ,
there has been no new water added at anytime in the history of the planet. so you were correct we just reuse it over and over again,
interesting thought when you think that Cleopatra to the first president George Washington and everyone in history drank the same water were drinking today,
kind of makes you want to filter or buy distilled water .

I believe that some of it goes to water treatment and becomes reused.

It gets piped to a wastewater treatment plant where it's cleaned up and discharged back into a river or a lake or the ocean.

It flows to the nearest sanitification plant where the water is filtered, re-filtered, treated and purified, and it goes back out nice and clean. I'm not sure what happens to the filtered wastes, though, and I am not really willing to find out...who knows, maybe they produce fertilizer...

yup, it is recycled, poop and all. It is sanitized with tons of nasty chemicals then comes right back through your pipes. It was on Oprah recently. DONT drink tap water. If you drink bottled water, make sure it does not say "purified" or "enhanced" or its nothing more than tap water. Use spring or steam distilled water
