Im 13 and i still haven't started my period.........is that weird? please only serious answers

Its not weird, in fact, it is completely normal. If you are very concerned, I would ask your mom, sister or aunt. Most of the time, menstrual cycles and the variance that comes with it is genetic. By this I mean... if your mom didn't start her period until she was 15... then there is a very good chance that you wont start your period until you are 15. Try not to feel self-conscious or left out by the fact that you have not started your period yet. Most girls dont want it when it does come, so just try to relax and enjoy it. I'm 17 and still haven't gotten mine. I have been to the doctor and had blood tests and I am normal. THey said its probably because I was really underweight until about two years ago from being athletic, and I am finally starting to catch up with everyone else. slash if you haven't started puberty yet you probably have a while to wait, a growth spurt is usually the first sign of puberty.

Nope. Im 13, (14 in 1 month) and just started mine actually. Some ppl dont get theirs untill their 16

I'm 13 too!
I didn't get my period until a month ago.
You are azn right? Azns don't develop as fast as Americans,
So even if all your friends have gotten it years before, I wouldn't worry, even though I did...
But check with your mom, or grandma, because these things are genetic. But if they aren't available just wait it out and i'm sure you'll get it soon! Don't worry cause worrying about it won't help you get it faster. Plus, periods aren't that great either

No its not weird. A friend of mine did not start her period till she was 18 years old. The doctor told her it does happen sometimes that girls dont start till later. If you would feel better have your mom call your family doctor.

it's not weird AT ALL. don't worry sweetheart. Some people dont until they are 17-18. if you have sisters ask them when they started or your mum. me and my sisters started around the same age, however if they had started at your age or before- DONT PANIC! I got mine before a lot of my friends and i thought i was weird. it differs from person to person.

no......i havent I had mine yet and im almost 13. girls can start anywhere from 9-17. dont worry about it
