An itch starts when contact to the skin occurs, obviously not all contact other wise you would be itching all day, however in the human body chemical, and physical reactions occur involuntary as well as voluntary and well an itch can happen when the skins surface meets with another type of surface this varies with different people it could be cotton for instance or silk or an animals fur or animals fleas...eugh i know..
however the skin sends signals to the CNS (central nervous system)and the brain then reacts by telling the body "i dont like the feel of this on my skin"so it causes you to itch..(scratch,rub vigorously, pinch or any form of force to try and get rrid of the "itch")
An itch also starts when you are constantly thinking about an itch so your brain is telling you,to itch and you itch, when you see the word itch too many times as you see here itch it makes you want to itch, how many of you reading this is feeling well rather itchy..if your feeling itchy then ITCH!! itch it itch it itch it !!! Go on give it ago!!!! lol hope dat helps!!!!!
