Hi friend it all depends upon the group which you have chosen in your +2 and the basic knowledge you have in Biology. If you have studied biology in your +1 and +2 classes and if you have some basic knowledge in biology you can study. Besides these there are some eligibility critieria like your specialisation in UG degree. My sincere advice is not to go for Biotech at M.Tech level since your UG program is entirely different from it.

I wont advice u to do biotech after BTech in EC. Because u need to strong background in biology, genetics, r-DNA tech, molecular biology. It will be great if u pursue u career in MTech biomedical intrumentation. Because it is related to ur ECE. Moreover it has great opportunities in India itself. Ofcourse in abroad lot of universities offering this course. Good luck !
