does anyone really know what its about or if its any good i dont wanna waste my money at the cinema if its a bit crap!

Jim Carrey is brilliant in everything he works in, whether it's comedy films(for which he is most famous for) like "Liar Liar", "Bruce Almighty", "Ace Ventura" etc, etc.. or more serious,dramatic roles like "Man on the Moon". "The Majestic" or of course one my favorite films "The Truman Show", he makes sure that during the entire film your butt is glued to the screen and your eyes are glued to the seat(or is it the other way around??).
The film is about a man whose life unravels after he comes into contact with an obscure book titled The Number 23. As he reads the book, he becomes increasingly convinced that it is based on his own life.
Funny at times (especially the first half) and dark ,mysterious during the remainder of the film, it's a winner on all counts, and I guess we have one man to thank for it the most and that is of course the director "Joel Schumacher".
One of Joel's previous efforts was simply horriedous and I don't think I have to tell you what that film was called but just in case some of you haven't seen it, It was Batman & Robin(1997), but he redeemed himself shortly after that with the likes of 8MM,Phone Booth etc and now with this film i think it's safe to say that he is well and truly on top of his game.
Watching Jim do his thing is as always a pleasure to watch and in this movie he does no wrong. The rest of the cast is pretty good if not great as well.
This is a movie that won't disappoint you MAKE SURE you watch it when it's on big screen.

Apparently the guys behind it thought it was so bad they refused to show it to critics prior to it's release in fear of it getting a slating! If you're a big Jim Carrey fan (which I'm not) you'll probably enjoy seeing him 'act' but if you're not I wouldn't waste your money. Go and watch Hot Fuzz, The Last King Of Scotland or Blood Diamond

Ive heard mixed reviews about it. In the paper yesterday they said it wasnt very good, but on tv they said it is. Its about a man who becomes obsessed with a book that seems to mirror his life with a murder at the end, which hasnt happened yet. To be honest, I got a bit confused, but Im still going to see it

I have seen the previews and looks good. Normally anything with Jim Carey in is good. I do want to go and see this....!

The movie all pertains to the 23 enigma and the significance of the number 23. It's really interesting stuff if you read about it.

its kindda a conspiracy about the devil, jim carrey has it in his head that everything in his life is about that number so he goes on a quest to see what the hell is going on!
it a bit vague but jim carrey is fantastic in it!
