I am planning to send my cv to some agencies / companies but I would like to know if it is good to send it using pdf format instead of word format ?
Do you think HR prefer word version ?
Thanks

Word is probably best, they like to search the text inside your CV for keywords (at least in IT they do). This is particularly true of agencies! PDF is probably the second best option, but the agencies will most likely call you up and ask for a .doc version anyway.

If you are sending CV's directly to companies then PDF is probably the best way.
Agencies tend to re-word CV's so it is better to send them a Word document or .RTF file (Rich Text Format) so they can amend it if they so wish.
On the whole, there is nothing wrong with sending your CV as a .doc file.
Hope you get the job you want!

Use Word. It's just about standard now, and PDF files are too big if everyone used them

It is much easier and more convient to read a PAPER version. If you must e-mail it send in Word.

I would send it as a word document. But it probably doesnt really matter.

Just send both - though I'm sure either would be acceptable..
