I will tell them the truth. We as a morally just country have the moral obligation to defend ourselves against all enemies foreign and domestic. What? Are you so dense that you would rather fight those lunatics on American soil? Remember, my kids walk three blocks to school without problems because we are Americans. Iraqi kids can´t leave home without some turban wearing lunatic trying to blow something up. We are not the aggressor. Saddam threaten the US will everything imagineable. We had no choice but to take him out. The fact that Saddam was bluffing and did not, in fact, have weapons of mass destruction is not our fault. For my life, I can´t understand why there is this very small but vocal group of Americans who would prefer to live with their heads in the sand and wait for more crazy muslims to come to our shores. I say, kill them there, let it leave a mark, and they will consider it more thoroughly the next time they think of flying passenger jets into office buildings. Remember, those were huge office buildings with day care centers full of kids and babies. Clearly, not a military target.

Finally, learn to read, learn to discern the truth, watch Fox News and step into the light.

Nevertheless, we do agree on one point. I wish that there wasn´t one US soldier in that part of the world. What needs to be done could have been done from 30,000 feet. Nuke Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt, and anybody else over there that even thinks about coming over here to make problems.

Nukeém all, let God sort them out.

My daughter sees what is happening in the news and asks me why we are not doing more to get the bad guys in the world. She is 12 years old and was about 7 or 8 when 9/11 happened. So she has been watching the news and is rooting for the USA to kick the terrorist butt. She is quite an opinionated young lady when it comes to politics.

"our military for the most part tried to contain its killing. this is part of the reason why our military was in Iraq so long, because sometimes in war people die, and there was such a hue and cry whenever our military sneezed on someone, they really couldn't protect themselves very well.

our president, Bill Clinton, thought that Saddam was rebuilding his weapons of mass destruction, and sent our military in back in 1998 to bomb some factories. his message, however, did not stop Saddam for long, and Saddam kept on acting suspiciously, by not letting UN inspectors in, and firing on Allied planes, and doing other things like that. Saddam had used WMD's on people like 'Iranian troops during a decade-long war. Not only against soldiers, but against civilians, firing Scud missiles at the citizens of Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Iran. And not only against a foreign enemy, but even against his own people, gassing Kurdish civilians in Northern Iraq.' that part was from president Clinton's speech. there was a lot of different reasons to conclude that Saddam was rebuilding his arsenal, so in 2003, our president then, Bush, listened to all the Congresspeople, and the UN, and the French, and the British, and the entire world, really, and declared war on Iraq, under the impression that Saddam had already re-armed himself.

all in all, i'm glad our military went in to Iraq, and you should be proud of the people who sacrificed their lives so you could live free the way God intended. you should also be proud that for a moment in time, the poor Iraqi's were allowed to vote, thanks to their efforts. unfortunately, it didn't last long since our military was forced to withdraw before they were finished.

now stop asking me stupid questions, and go to bed."

You are way too simplistic in your world view. Personally I tell him the truth, I tell him we went there to depose a very bad man that ignored UN sanctions for a decade, a regime the routinely rounded up and murdered hundreds of people, to get rid of a maniac that was trying to secure more WMDs and had already shown the propensity to use them. I also tell him that this war compared to others is much less costly in human life, I let him know that we lost many more men in one day in WWII than we have in 4 years in Iraq. That the loss of civilian life is also dramatically less than in any other war ever fought. I tell him that hopefully the good people there will stand up and take initiative in governing their own country because the United States has no desire to do so. That's what I tell my son when he asks

well, since you started this! Tell them about 9-11. Then take
them to Newyork to see the memorial and show them pictures of
the twin towers. Take them to the field in pennsylvania, where
our American hero's took down a plane to save the pentagon.
take them to the pentagon to see how most of it was saved
(if not all of it) Then tell them about the children of U.S. citizens
who no longer have Mommy's or Daddy's to ask those questions
of. Show them the pictures of the carnage in this country on the
above date. Let them hear the song's dedicated to this event and
the hero's who left their family's to wonder why would someone
do this to their loved ones..Remember the picture of the coward in the foxhole! Remember the terrorists who hid in the mountains.Do you still want to know what to tell the children?
Or would you rather read to them (perhaps a good fairytale)

I tell them that the afghan war is justified, becuase the government of the Taliban directly supported those whom attacked America on 9/11, and, the Iraq invasion was unjustified.

Simple George Bush was a religious fanatic who attacked other religious fanatics over control of oil and holy land .
Then I will explain that the bible is a work of fiction like a Stephen king novel .
Then tell him/her the best thing they can do is find some work that provides mankind with shelter or clothing or food . Never build guns or work for the government and remember that people who belief in the bible are sick people with mental problems and to ignore them and be kind to them . Nod up and down like you too believe in that garbage or they become enraged and will kill you .

I've already told mine that the president lied about the reason for staring the war. All their friends think it was because the terrorists that caused 9/11 came from Iraq. Gee, I wonder where they got that idea???

Tell them the truth of course. We had to take down Saddam because he was murdering his own people, women had no rights, only few children attended school. After we stopped Saddam, women are now free, children attend school, 12 million Iraqi's voted for democracy and President Bush is trying to quell the violence and bring a lasting peace. Son, promise me one thing, You will never criticize our President for making the tough decisions and promise me you will never back down from a challenge like the Democrats are doing. Remember Son, Character built the foundation of America, never compromise your principles.
