Kimber- I know about the seasons. That wasn't the question. Some days in the summer drag on and some are fast. Some days in the winter drag on and some days go by fast.

I dont think its because you r having fun i think its because your busy. Too busy for your brain to keep track of everything even you concious time keeper. Have you heard how multi-tasking isnt as good as it was thought to be. Perfect example. When you multi-task you loose concentration on one thing or another. Many can do different things when they involve different motor functions. we can walk and talk at the same time cant we? ...........well some of us can. But we cant easily walk and run at the same time and we cant talk and sing at the same time. Just like your brain u cant do 2 different reports at the same time.........although my bossess want me to. Im not a machine and unless i had the new Windows Vista loaded in my brain then i will do one thign at a time. Believe me multi tasking will take its toll. So the old addage should be changed to time flies when u r .........occupied (all encompassing busy having fun sleeping exercising whatever......).

I think time flies either when you are busy, or having fun, or both! For example you say it flies at work... probably because at work you are very, very busy so it seems like, "omgosh i got hardly anything done the day just flew by!". Same for your co-workers, on days that your work doesn't have much going on, the day drags on for everyone (well almost everyone). The days that your work is busy it seems to speed up for everyone.

It is all in your head. I do know that the busier you are, the faster the day seems to go. And, the reverse, the less you do, the slower the day drags on. Along that same questioning, have you ever noticed that when you are going on a trip, driving especially, it seems to take forever to get there, but not nearly as long to get home? I think it is all about the anticipation!

Maybe it happens because you know that you have to be at work for awhile, and your mind is keeping track of the time. At work, you always have to be somewhat conscious of the time for breaks (and other things depending on your job) so you can't completely relax. When you watch the clock (consciously or not) time slows down.

During winters, the nights are long and the days are short and during the summers, the days are long and the nights are short. It's due to the rotation of the earth which results in seasons around the earth.

For me personally, it has alot to do with whether or not you're feeling care free or have alot on your mind. I find when I have alot on my mind, the day goes by alot slower than if I were feeling care free. Just a mind set really. You must be content with your job.

It is just your perception of how time passes. When you are occupied, time will seem to pass quickly. When bored, it seems to pass more slowly.
