If I send a letter to Australia, it costs me 50p. How do they work out who gets what proportion of the price? I.e. does the Australian post get anything? And do we have a similar agreement for every country in the world?

This is really intersting question,

i has STARRED it, and also added into my watch list. So i can read all great replies to it.

So far i have also same question in my mind.

When i sent MONEY ORDER to UK from USA.
$75 were deducted by Postman.

Who got this USA post or UK post?

As far as your question is, lol my guess is Australian post get nothing, as in telecommunication industry, incoming is FREE lol.
