This is nothing new. Moderate Republicans don't like Conservative Republicans, especially when it comes to social issues. President Ford was being a gentleman by not talking openly about his disagreements with President Bush.

Moderates do not win national elections. It's the conservative base that wins elections for Republicans, and it's the liberal base that wins elections for Democrats. So Moderates can complain all they want, in modern day politics they are nothing more than sacrificial pawns.

What do I have to say ? So what !!
People get overly hooked-on what those in the past have to say . This is now . Tell me ANYONE in history, that had to fight a worldwide war on terror . Coupled with the fact that many countries are not doing their part . Then pile the situation good and high with wackos who think we should negotiate with terrorists . I'd say we're in a huge mess, that Ford nor others have NO experience with .

Sounds like liberal propaganda to me. Can you name your sources?

Yeah, that's what I thought. An unnamed reporter, Time Magazine, and Mr. Ford's alleged death bed confession.....Did you actually read this in the checkout line on the cover of the National Enquirer?

I heard that he did not agree with President George W. Bush's decision to enter War, but did want that told until after his death.

I thought it was strange all around. Wait until HIS death, not until the country is no longer at war. Stirring the pot, but can do absolutely nothing about it.

IF THAT WERE TRUE, WHICH IT'S NOT...

even F.D.R. is spinning in his grave at how Liberal Democrats have become Anti-American Communists who have more loyalty toward genocidal despots, terrorists, and Hugo Chavez than they do their own country and twice elected President.

Owned!

He was a middle of the road conservative. I would believe that. He had some liberal traits and that is ok. We are all allowed to believe what we want.
