30 is nothing - go out and celebrate. You should now 'officially' be a grown up so go and do something reckless and enjoy!

Sweetie..lol. I'll be 30 next month. I don't feel "30" and definitely don't look "30." I think about it sometimes and i'll catch myself obsessing about this number as if it signifies my fall into immediate senior citizen status. Then, I think more rationally and realize is just a number, like 29 or 31. It really doesn't matter what you actual age is, what matters is how you feel and your outlook on life. Look at 30 as the beginning of Act 2 in the story of your life. Act One is the short part - most of it we don't remember because we were too young and what we do remember is full of mistakes, heartaches, experimentation and just trying to figure out how the world works. Act 2 is the much longer and meatier portion of our lives - where all the real action happens. This is when we're pretty much content with ourselves. We've figured out - for the most part - our role in life and we know what we want out of it. Act 2 is where the most meaningful moments and memories are experienced. Act 2 is the longest of the three acts and can last until you're gray and senile. Of course, Act 3 - the shortest - is our final destination.

So, just live it up. Celebrate that you've made it this far without killing yourself lol. It's not as bad as you think. And if you start to look at life as your own personal movie, you'll see that 30 is just when you really begin to live.

Good luck!

I am now 38 and dreading being 40, I think every 10 years after 20 gives you the willies. For my thirtieth I had a 70's party and out partied the younger ones to prove to myself I wasn't past it. But since turning thirty I feel I am more comfortable with myself and appreciate a lot more than I did. Have fun and shout it out to the world 30 is flirty and fun x

Well, I turn 44 in 2 months and I feel and look terrific! But every now and then it shakes me a little. 30 only made me stand up straight though, kinda focus more on a future. But I have noticed that women tend to have a major crisis with every birthday after about 25. I say if you look good, take care of yourself, and know where you're heading then you shouldn't even think twice.

The Thirties rock. It is just a number. The fact that you have spun around the sun 30 times since you were born is irrellivent. What matters is how you feel inside. Have you been living life? have you risked enough? Are you still growing as a person? If the answer is no, then perhaps you need to make a few changes to recharge your life, especially if you feel worn out at this point.

I had a great 30th! I'd just become a mum for the first time four months prior and we celebrated with a big fancy dress party themed to fictional characters! get out there, have fun and enjoy the presents! its no big deal. look at it this way, it could be worse, you could be 80...

getting old is ok because the alternative is no better!

Most of my friends died the day they turned 30. I survived just but my hair went totally grey and my knees started rubbing together. I also strangely turned gay the day I turned 30 and I now resemble a dog. It's not much fun. I'd try and stay 29 if I were you.
