You don’t say when the wedding is, but if it’s this winter, how about a pearl necklace and earrings, black hose, black pumps and small black bag? I was at an evening wedding last November and wore a black long-sleeved dinner dress, sheer black hose, black suede pumps, and pearls. At least half the other women there were in black also, and the bridesmaids were each in a different dark color, one of which was black. So black is OK for weddings now.
If the wedding you're attending is in the spring or summer, try nude hose or no hose, and maybe a black strappy sandal. You don't say if your dress is sleeveless, short-sleeved, or long-sleeved. For spring or summer, sleeveless or short-sleeved would be great, with some type of colorful light wrap to set it off. Skip the pearls and try some sparkly, dangly earrings instead.
Have fun!

oh I just realized your probably talking about someone elses wedding. I thought you meant YOUR wedding lol. I think gold would look really pretty especially if your tan. I personally wear silver with almost everything cause I have so much silver. So I think either one would look good. Whichever you think looks better with the dress and your skin tone. With a black dress you can wear any color that you like. Even something with 2 colors in it will look good (depending on the shoes)

Diamonds look great on black dresses! Try a diamond neclace with a silver chain. Wear small hoopy earings with tiny little diamonds around the edge. A sparkly silver purse or bag or black purse would go great with the dress! If you're thinking of nail polish, a silver would look stunning and elagant. If you don't know what shoes to wear, silver strappy shoes would be a nice touch. Have fun!!!!

I wore a black medieval style dress with gold details when i got married and i wore a gold tiara, gold necklace and earrings.
What's the style of dress? formal? a suit dress? traditional?
what kind of accessories were you thinking of? jewellery? hair accessories?

Gold jewellery is really good. But personally i would go with chunky silver jewellery and black shoes and handbag. Keep the jewllery minimal though. One nice chunky bracelet, one chain+pendant and one or two rings at most.
Or you could go with white (hat -v.small, shoes and handbag with white beaded necklace and bracelets) but be very careful with white as you don't want to upstage the bride in anyway.

wear silver, and diamonds, like a diomond pendant necklace. dont wear gold. accent with slender black heels. dont wear flash stuff. the attention will and is supposed to be on the bride. nothing stupid like sunglasses. accent the black dress with a white shrug to break up the black otherwise you will look like you belong at a funeral.

You shouldn't wear black at a wedding. It is considered to be extremely bad taste.

You aren't supposed to wear a black dress to a wedding, it's bad luck. So if you are going to wear it anyway- Brighten it up with something!
