White spirit - someone attacked my neighbours house with a large tin of white gloss and my car got hit. I was nervous as I thought the white spirit would damage the paintwork but it didn't. Do it asap though.

Depends on what type of paint. White spirit fairly safe. Most auto shops sell a stuff called tar remover, its a weak form of thinners panel wipe, may take a few goes but will work. wash car well and polish afterwards.

it depends what sort of paint you went through there are different paints used for the lines, it could be thermoplastic in which case it will once cold probably be possible to carefully flick it off your car, I would suggest however that you get in touch with your council and ask to claim against their contractor, he had a duty of care to you and should not have allowed live traffic to cross the lines until they were dry

The quicker you act, the easier it'll be to remove.
Paint thinners will remove it.
White spirit too.
Polish afterwards.

DO NOT USE BLEACH :) that will remove the cars paint too :P

gently scrape it off using hot water and stiff brush dry then t-cut area should come up like new
