The Republican's are not saving Iraq. I think you misheard them speak. They are "saving (*cough* *cough* oil from *cough*) Iraq."
To G.B. Saddam was a terrorist because he had tried to kill his daddy during G.B. Sr's reign. He was not a terrorist to the US as a country. The real terrorists, the ones responsible for 9-11 are sitting pretty watching the US diminish its military in Iraq, fighting a lost cause.
There will never be a democracy in Iraq. The Sunnis and Shiites are never going to be able to get along, let alone one person or either faith run the country. It is impossible. It's very "not nice" of me to say, but that's probably the reason why Saddam ruled with such an iron fist - because he had to in order to keep his country out of a never ending civil war between the two faiths.
I have nothing to say about the prison treatment. Because I have seen the heads of American contractors cut off. If American’s did that it would be a war crime, as we are ruled by the Geneva Convention. They are not ruled by any set of rules other than those set by their faith. However, I am sure that bad treatments within the prison walls do nothing but fuel the hatred for America from the Muslims (just as the beheadings of American contractors only add to the American's hatred of the Muslims)
I do agree, 100%, that all we have done in Iraq is only fueling the fire of Anti-American feelings around the world. We should have stayed out of Iraq. If we did anything, it should have been a single man-hunt for Bin Laden. Not declaring war (against the U.N's approval) on an entire country that had nothing to do with the attacks on our World Trade Buildings and the Pentagon. (The trigger of this entire BS)
I wouldn't doubt, that after this is all over (if it ever ends) 20 - 30 years from now, when all the children who's parents were killed in this debacle, unite as they grow up and wreak unbelievable havoc on the US.
If anyone believes that America is safer because of this war, they need a SERIOUS reality check.

The United States forces, including Democrat and Republican soldiers, SENT with the APPROVAL of both Democrats and Republicans in 2003, are neutralizing terrorist insurgents.
Unfortunately, RADICAL Sunnis and Shiites have hated each other for a thousand years, in addition to hating Christian and Jewish "infidels". Saddam Hussein was a Sunni, who cared little for religion. He prevented civil war by killing off any Shiites and Kurds who opposed him, and he served as a buffer against the radical Shiites of Iran. That's why G.H.W. Bush didn't depose Saddam during Desert Storm. G.W. Bush went into Iraq because of Saddam's ethnic cleansing and because of the National Intelligence Estimate reports from Stu Cohen, who stated unequivocally that WMD's DID exist. Democrats and Republicans alike believed this information.

individuals are killing some Iraqis (occasion association isn't correct) the unhappy element is we are killing extra Iraqis than Saddam could have and not protecting order there almost besides there's an spectacular contradiction in Bush's rhetoric, on one hand he needs us to have confidence we are bringing peace and democracy to Iraq, on the different he needs us to have confidence we are taking the combat to the terrorists (scuffling with in Iraq particularly than the USA), the two he needs conflict there or he needs peace there, he won't be in a position to have it the two methods

Another ignorant and no doubt shi a question.
The shi a insurgents are killing the children, women and men of Iraq because they have come for the booty of the battlefield.
So the Americans - plus every other country in the world - ARE SHOOTING THEM DOWN DOWN DOWN
(with th exception of the countries led by pin headed presidents who are as cowardly as you).
What a stupid question - !

Republicans (and I am one) are not saving the Iraqi people; our troops are. Republicans are however making the correct decisions to protect innocent people from further attacks, manly on our soil. If you hate America so much why you don’t move to Iraq - I'm sure your opinion would change greatly!

YOu raise a lot of points (most of which ae false). We have to stay and weed them out. If not then we have to hide and wait for our next attack. If that means that muslims hate us then so be it. They are just another cult that we will have to deal with.

Most Iraqis who have been killed have been killed by the insurgents, not the Americans.
Get your facts straight.
