If you want to spend a bit stay at crowne towers- its so worth the money!!!!!!! Pretty much all resorts are nice up there but also depends on how much you want to spend. Breakfree beach comber is not too bad. right next to cavil av!!

The resorts in the gold coast are mostly self catering apartments. The main thing you should be looking at is location.
Rough guide: Surfers paradise is for the night club life at night.
Broad beach is more conservative and Southport is on the closed in broadwater. marinas etc but no waves. There are about 70kms of continuous fantastic beaches. All areas have a transport system to the Theme parks. Visit http://www.unusedrooms.com/specials/city/Gold%20Coast.html and have a look through at what is on offer. Or search for standby hotel gold coast. Enjoy!

The answer to this really depends on what you like. What I think is great, you may hate.

We always stay at www.treasureisland.com.au

It is a bit out of Surfers, which suits me fine.
