I want to start a girl's football team. The principal said, "I do not think you can, because no one plays girl's football. But go ahead. Try. I'm not going to help you, you need your own resources."

Get signatures from people who would be interested in participating. If you have enough to make a team, bring in the 'petition' to the principal to get approval. If he still doesn't want to help (I mean, all he can do is allow you to use the PE equipment and a field...but the uniforms would probably not be free). In any case, if you have enough support from students and parents and they involve themselves in fighting for a team, he will have to reconsider and help out a bit.

If this is something you really want its going to a hard road for you.
first you need to talk to girls at other schools. Because if you dont have someone to play then there is no point to the team. next you need to find enough girls that want to play on the team. then, you need to get a petition going around schools and going home for parents to sign demanding it. force your principals hand in this with public awareness. because you need funding from the school to make it happen. try writing the local paper about it.

1. ask loads of people if they want to play football
2. start doing training sessions to get good
3. once your team is OK as your sports teacher if he can get you some games

easy, ust go to the main office and ask what sports are going on during the current season and if you hear any that you are interested in then ask how you can get involved
