I'm sure you know you need to call your ob/gyn and speak to them and more than likely schedule a visit to make sure everything is okay. BUT it is normal to have period like pains all during your pregnancy due to the fact your uterus is growing/filling with extra blood and stretching throughout your pregnancy as the baby grows. Especially during the first trimester I felt alot of those pains, so much so that I didn't find out I was pregnant until i was 8 weeks because every day i assumed my period was about to start at any second because of the period pains.
BUT if they are persistent to just one side of your abdomen then that can also mean an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. Which is very serious so you would definetelly need to see a doctor asap just to ensure that all is okay.
Goodluck ~ i hope all turns out great for you and your baby

It's very hard to tell if it's okay, or a sign of miscarriage which is why it's important you try to get an ultrasound, if the pain persists. What's happening with you also (which was what happened with me) is that you're very nervous because of your unfortunate miscarriage. In the pregnancy I miscarried I had period pains on and off the whole time and my gyn kept telling me not to check anything as there was no blood. But this pregnancy, when I had period pains again, after 3 days I couldn't take the stress any more of thinking I'd already miscarried so I ignored the gyn and went to the emergency room where I was soon reassured by seeing the fetal heartbeat.
Bottom line: if you're nervous and anxious, you know yourself and you should get yourself checked out. A friend of mine (who's had 5 healthy pregnancies) said she had period cramps in them all and it was fine. Another friend, on her 6th pregnancy which she miscarried had no warnings like period cramps at all. So there really are no hard and fast rules; just get it checked out so you don't have to go through this stress.

It is normal to sometimes have pain or cramping like you are about to start your period. Also its normal to spot or bleed a little the first three months. But I do advise this you know your body better than anyone and if you feel as if something is wrong call the OB and go in. Even if you just need to do it for peace of mind. I bleed when I was pregnant with my second daughter and I went to the dctor about three times in one week just to make sure it was ok. So do what you feel is best if its really hurting and you think you should go to the doctor go. If its just mild crampimg and you think its ok then dont worry about it. Also try a nice hot bath to help you relax it realy helps with those pregnancy pains!!! Good Luck and Congratulations!!!

Hello, I went by means of the same thing two weeks in the past. I notion I used to be pregnant as I did a test and it had an awfully faint positive line. I went to the medical doctors who stated it used to be constructive. I then started having brownish discharge which I concept used to be implantation bleeding, then it turned purple. I did one more scan just a few days later which was poor. I consider that it was once a miscarriage, or maybe a false terrible (which apparantly you cant have) as it felt like my period. I too dont mostly suffer with period pains so I feel that it was once a miscarriage. Please dont stress too much, i know that's tough as I spent two days crying! We are actually trying again correctly, taking Folic Acid and stopping drinking etc. I wish you the exceptional of good fortune, it'll occur quickly! Xx

Period pains especially in the first weeks are very normal. BUT if there is bleeding along with those pains it could be a sign of trouble. You can call your doctor but right now you are really too early to see much on ultrasound and if you are going to miscarry then there is nothing they can do about it.
I am truly sorry for your previous loss I know how stressful those first few weeks can be after a miscarriage(have had two myself plus an ectopic) But after my two miscarriages I gave birth to two beautiful girls within a year of the miscarriage.

I would see a doc, I had similar pains(no prior miscarriage) but found I had a sist that ruptured outside my uterus and was leaking fluid into my pelvis, the pain was so bad i thought i must have a tubal pregnancy, it wasnt a tubal, but the ruptured sist can be dangerous or fatal to unborn baby, everything turned out fine, and my body took care of it, But I was very happy i went to the ER. I had to go twice though, to 2 different ERS cause they said at the first one it was "unexplained abdominal pain" the second hospital was thinking the same untill they did and ultrasound and found the fluid. Dumb first ER, I went the next day to the 2nd ER after the pain wouldnt stop. Hope it helped. Good luck.

Well, for me I had an achy feeling that was like a period up until I was 12 week then the feeling changed to achiness almost like stretching. If the pain is severe or accompanied by blood call your doctors office. In fact it would not hurt to call your doctor anyway, especially given your recent history. Chances are you are okay, but it is better safe than sorry.
16 weeks and 4 days pregnant.

I had cramping for about the first 8-12 weeks of my pregnancy. Halfway through my seventh month, I felt severe cramping-I thought I was going into early labor. I was wrong-my baby was 10 days late and I had to be induced to get her out that early. :) Since you had a miscarriage recently though I would definitely see a doctor.

I had really bad pains before I actually found out I was pregnant, I thought something was trying to climb out of my stomach...but the pains went away and shortly there after I found out I was pregnant...trying taking some Tylenol and a heating pad, but if they continue or get worse, you really should go see your doctor to be on the safe side.
