can we be god? perhaps, it depends on who is we and who is god. if we means something other than god and god is something other than we then the two can not overlap in anyway. however, if there is a function that connects these two variables and this happens to be work then theoretically that is possible. But however, i have not as yet heard of that theory except perhaps is we talk about working hard to find the truth. Man for example, no matter how much he/she works hard, can never really have much knowledge except opinions , beliefs and truths that only pertain to him. If God is the knower of all truth then striving to know the truth by working as hard as possible might be the function that connects the two

No , God is a higher power which a mere being cannot achieve. He is what created you and everything around, it would not make sense if a person worked hard and became God. Anyway a person wouldnt be able to handle the work load
