You mean like natural family planning, such as the rhythm method? Don't you know the old joke?
Q: What do you call people who use the rhythm method?
A: Parents!
hahaha! Well, if you are two married people who could afford the possiblitity of a child, but just want to leave it up to God, then I think these methods are okay... BUT if you are unmarried and unable to support a child you need to get on both ASAP....
but here you go.
You need to chart your cycles. Write down when you get your period. Half way between the first day of each period is about the day you ovulate. Don't have sex for 5 days either way. so, 10 days a month in the middle of your cycle do NOT have sex.
Next, you will need to use the pull out method. Make sure he pulls out before ejaculating.
You do need to realize that you could ovulate at any time during the month and that a lot of liquid can come out before ejaculation containing millions of sperm...
If you use these two methods together, you are only about 50% safer than just "doing it" whenever.
Condoms are 93% effective
The Pill is 98% effective
Together they are about 99.9% effective... so, it's your choice... 50% or 99.9%....

i know this is going to be very redundant of high school but NONE!! you can never be safe if you dont use a condom. actually you cant ever be safe when having sex. condoms break and stds are passed through skin to skin contact (which a condom doesnt cover). If you are bored with condoms try other types of contraceptive like a diaphram and spermicide which gives you protection without the feel of a condom. and if you are in a relationship tell your girlfriend to go on birth control (or if you're the girl go on it) hope this helps! remember there are more options than just condoms XD

Using contraceptives and condoms is the only way(beside abstinance of course) to maximise safe sex.....without them there is just no such thing.

Impossible.
When there are so many choices available today, so easily and so cheaply, I can never understand why people always want to forego contraceptives yet expect to avoid disease and pregnancy.
Think about it...... it if was easy to have safe sex without contraceptives and condoms everyone would be doing it!!!!

There is no such thing as safe sex without contraceptives or condoms.
Safe sex is taking precaution to prevent disease or pregnancy and you can't be safe without some form of barrier.

You are playing with fire if you don't use protection. You can get someone pregnant, or get Aids or an STD... Ick. Care enough about yourself and your partner to have safe sex. The health risks aren't worth it and a baby costs a lot more than birth control. If you guys are too embarrased to get birth control, you aren't ready to have sex.

Abstinence is 100% failproof...but c'mon, use contraceptives...they maximise safe sex, but is still not 100% guaranteed...so how could unprotected sex be any better?

go to this web site, familyplanning.net
there is a tab at the top of the page that says, "wishing to postpone" if you are worried about getting pregnant. No pills, patches, condoms. Just knowledge of your body(for the woman).

Short of getting your knees sown up, I don't see how you can maximize safe sex without protection. There's no magic potion that will keep you protected from AIDS and other STDs, only condoms (latex, not lambskin) can do that.
