The 'family' genre would be the best bet. But I wouldn't asociate a genre, but more of on what the film is rated:
Rated G - For all ages
Rated PG - For all ages, but parents should accompany the child until age 6
Rated PG13 - For ages 13 and up, all children below 13 should watch with a parent
Rated R - For age 18 and up, below 18 should be watched with a parent
Rated X - Not suitable for people under 21...definitely not recommended to watch with a parent ;)

I think its comedy if its for all age.
Horrer- children would be too scared
love- kids wont understand
3D animation- doesnt always interest the adults and older
