Having trouble with percentages, eh?
try rewording the question as in
1. 32 of 38 in percentage would become, 'what percentage of 38 is 32...'
now divide 32 by 38 to get 0.8421052632, round to 3 decimal places>>0.842 and multiply by 100 >>84.2. Now you can see that 32 is 84.2% of 38.

the other side of the story is #5, find 41 out of 40 in percentage.
Do the same thing, reword to, ' what percentage of 40 is 41...', then divide 41 by 40 to get 1.025, round to the 3rd decimal place (which it already is), multiply by 100 >>102.5. Now you can see that 41 is 102.5% of 40.

There, that's the percentage method. You can do the arithmetic with your calculator on the rest.

This is a simple math proportion. Say you want to find 32 out of 110. Place the 32 over the 110 in a fraction. Then place an "x" over a 100 in another fraction. Cross-multiply the two fractions. You should get 110x=32(100), or 110x=3200. Dividde 3200 by 110 (solving for x) to get 29.09 repeating, which rounds up to 29.1. The answer to number 4 is (D). You can solve the rest of the problems in a similar way. You should try to use this way to solve the problems instead of just asking for the answers-you learn more and will be able to do it on a test or later in your life when you don't have someone to give you the answers.

All of these answers can be found by using your calculator (or paper) and divide the first number by the second. Ex: Find: 41 out of 40 in percentage - Take 41/40 = 1.025 = 102.5% (just move the decimal to the right two places)

I see your blend up - A = PiR^2 suitable? nicely, section = Pi (radius squared), the place you placed the radius as 40 8. The Diameter is 24 cm, suitable? nicely, in the formulation, radius is in simple terms 0.5 of the diameter, so which you would be making use of 12^2, not 40 8^2 Your formulation could appear like this: section = Pi(3.14) * 12^2 That'll supply you with the appropriate answer.
