The fox was seen as a trickster figure in western culture. In China and Japan it was said to have supernatural powers and could shape change into a human form.

Well it depends on where you are. If you see foxes everyday they are everyday animals. They are very sly and clever and that is why they might seem like it. All animals could be mythical but it is really up to the person to choose. (wheither to believe or not)
