Anyone think he can really challenge rudy? Does anyone think that his age may throw more votes towards rudy?

Personally, as a Democrat, I hope that Rudy Giuliani wins the Republican nomination. There is no way he can win the general election. He has no experience on the national level. Other than his calm handling of 9/11, can you think of one qualification he has for being President???

As for McCain, I think he has an uphill batte to climb to get the Republican nomination. If he does get it, depending on the Democratic nominee, he is a Republican who I would consider voting for.

What makes you think that Giuliani, when it really gets down to actual voting, will do well in the far-right dominated GOP primaries? If you're pro-abortion, pro-gun control, or pro-gay rights, you're toast, and Giuliani is all three. Plus he's on his third marriage. Eventually the voters will learn this, and his undeserved hero status from 9-11 will fade. I mean, what did he DO? Made people "feel better"? Big deal! How womanish a consideration!

McCain is now cuddling up to the fundamentalist Christians; folks that he repudiated in the past. He is flip-flopping in many other areas as well. I think he is past his prime. As far as Rudy goes, He has too many ghosts in his closet to get very far in the primaries. Neither candidate will stand the test of time.

Funny that bit about Giuliani, hes too liberal for me and I'm a Democrat. As to McCain, he will make a comeback, but as what? At one time he was a straight talking independent Republican, now hes a Falwell-pleasing, stick-to-the-script Republican. Whats next? Who will he be? What group does he need to pander to now and how far will he bow to get the nomination. I may not have agreed with him, but I could respect him and his service to his country, now hes just another political hack hoping we can't remember what it was he stood for before.

No, he will not make a come back because he is too wishy-washy. There ARE other legitimate candidates to consider.
