There are some people who are still able to "luck" into a good job with only a high school education. However, it usually is just luck. I got a college degree years ago in Criminology, and although I worked for years in the telephone industry and then switched professions to become a realtor, the fact of just having the degree, even though it's not in my chosen profession, has helped immensely.
If money is a problem for tuition, etc, there are usually all kinds of grants/loans you can get if you look for them. Also, you can get part-time jobs and some places will let you work around your class schedules. Bottom line, if you're determined, you can get a degree, and it will help your future job earning potential, and basically, college years are some pretty memorable ones.
Good luck.

College degrees are very important. Even though some may argue that it is talent over degrees.. this is partially true..
A person with a college degree has an understanding and can apply methodologies.. Not to say that ONLY a college-degreed persons can do this, but a college degree offers more..
Now please understand that this is an argument that parents even persons themselves are asking.. A college degree is important and if you are planning on achieving it, please go for it, you can do it.

That depends on what you want to do. In my field of work the degree is necessary to open doors to certain positions, and experience is good too.
I will say that having a college won't hurt you, even if you go into a field different from what you studied in college. It will give you a greater understanding of many things.

Some type of post high school training is essential. If you don't want to go the college route you should atleast go to trade school. Many employers want to see that you've had some education after high school. You'll be doomed to working at Wal-Mart if you don't get something to supplement you high school education, unless of course you really want to work at Wal-mart for the rest of your life...then you're ok. Seriously, seek some type of training, it helps with job placement in the future.
