Unless your car is specifically designed to require a higher grade, then use the low grade unleaded fuel. Using a higher grade than your car was designed for not only wastes your money, but damages the vehicle.

is it tuned up and running good? does it run good on the cheap stuff, if so then keep using it.

higher octane gas prevents pinging under load, such as hauling a heavy load or heavy acceleration in a sports car.
