a D.O. is a doctor of osteopathic medicine...they have just as much training as the M.D....Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine, or D.O.s, apply the philosophy of treating the whole person (a holistic approach) to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, disease and injury using conventional medical practice such as drugs and surgery, along with manual therapy (Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine or OMM).

Doctor of Osteopathy. DOs get different training than MDs do, but they have a 4 year medical school plus a residency, just like MDs.

doctor of osteopathy- like a regular doctor but with a specailty utilizing homeopathy along with standard medical practice. They practice preventative care as well.
