I heard a CD today - and I thought...Isn't it bizarre that...A band wants to sing about 'good news' - and wants to sound anguished and aggressive (like grunge) at the same time?

(Note: Don't get me wrong. I love 'heavy' music. Kindly refer to my original question. Peace.)

I think some of it does. I think that Praise and Worship has a very distinct sound that is a little gospel, a little country, a little pop, and even a little like old time hymns....

Other wise, I think that people just have a genre they like and they use that to praise the Lord. Ain't nothin' wrong with that. Not everyone is clever enough to come up with a new genre.

Also, I think sometimes having faith in God can be a burden when you realize all the sin and hypocrisy in the world, it's enough to provoke an anguished sound of music, I think.

IMHO
