Ebay is very tricky to master and every week is different. I have put clothes on one week and havent got a single bid and then the next week I relist them and get 12 bids on them, its bizare!
One thing to remember is that always make sure however long you put them on for that they go through at least one weekend as that is when most people check Ebay out. The title is very important too. Make sure you put all the important information in the title as that is where peoples keywords they enter on search pick up from. Sign up to Paypal as most people prefer to pay by Paypal and you will get more bids if you accept it. Sell Worldwide too as that also increases your chances rather than just selling to the UK.
Take a good photo and be honest about condition etc. If it is brand new with tags then make sure you put (BNWT) in the title. Also put the size in the title, you will be surprised how many people leave the size off the title and if you are then looking for a size 12 in the search it will not pick it up. If you think the item is say worth £3 or more then you could always put a starting bid of £3 and a buy it now price of £5 to give 2 options of buying (bear in mind though that buy it now options and reserve options cost extra).
Finally, the charges are a lot more expensive now than they used to be on Ebay. It is not just the listing cost you get charged. Ebay take a percentage of the price you sell an item for and then a small commission for payments by Paypal.
Good luck and happy selling!

We did better by doing a garage sale. Our daughter's new clothes that she never wore went first. We sold out of teen clothing first thing, then video games, then furniture. Try a garage sale first, if you can't sell it there, then use Ebay but I'm sure they charge you for items sold....etc...

im not that experienced with ebay, but, you can start your bidding moderate high, like 45p that way they have to bid higher than that. you might even be able to start them at 50p. but include alot of pictures. and try to convince the buyer that your clothes are the best, and that they are truly worth a lot more in stores. make sure that you include many contacts so the potential buyers can ask you certain questions. make sure you ship everywhere. it can be a big turn-off to people if they really like something but cant buy it because sellers wont ship to their area. talk about the detail... etc. make a very detailed report. make your clothes appeal to them. when you are almost finished with your ebay site, run through it to see what else it needs and if it appeals to you. if it appeals to you, it will most likely to appeal to other girls like you.

The main problem is that there are so many items of clothing available on ebay.
The only items that go for high amounts are designer clothes that are new.
Anyway, here's my advice:
Searches only look in the title, so make sure you get words like 'designer' 'ladies / girls' and the brand in the title. And put at least 2 high quality photos in.
Otherwise, why not donate to Oxfam ??

make sure you have a really good description.
think about what would make you buy them - I would not buy something that didn't have size, or colour, or fabric, brand, washing instructions etc.
What do you look for in a shop?
make sure you include that info in your description and you'll be fine!
also - offer a decent postage rate (close to cost) and a low start price. I wouldn't bother with a reserve as the lowest is £50 I think

read eBay blogs
read up on how to sell on eBay on the eBay clothing chat room
DONt scam people with postage gouging or making claims that the items were lost in the post ( yeah I read the above suggestions)
if caught doing that, besides having to pay the buyer pack, paying eBay fees, you could get banned from eBay

You can set a reserve price which means the lowest price you are willing to sell for. Maybe add a bit extra on to the postage costs just incase it does go for a piddly amount.

ebay is a funny thing sometimes....you may want to try to take the clothes to a consignment shop in your area. If you do put them on Ebay make sure you take great pictures!!

example:
Fabulous Girls Shoes size 9 PINK - 99p NR !
when someone searches ANY of the above words your item will appear somewhere....
THE most common words searched for are:PINK,99p,NR
set a decent p&p..
you'll get charged more the higher you set your starting price..
so....99p + £2.99 = 15p (with out gallery picture)
or £2.99 + 99p = 30p (with out gallery picture)
also
lots of interest in bundled items too....
also ...
don't try and sell a big wooly jumper in summer!!
or
stringy vest top in winter!
