In the UK, I think the fact that purely by living in the country we do, we are already in like the top 10% richest, best educated, healthiest countries in the world. Thats pretty bloody underrated. Its far easier to b***h and moan than to be positive, isn't it?
Oh, and Santa? Isopropyl Alcohol is also used for cleaning LP's!

Its all the usual things that you take for granted like family health sunny days. But I think the most underrated thing in life is newspaper boys and girls - Odd I know but I just expect them to always be there delivering my paper and I cop when it don't appear

Health/Family/Sight/Hearing. These are only appreciated by people who do not have them. They are taken for granted by those who do. Small test. Wait until it is really dark, no lights on at all, close your eyes tightly and try to get from the room you are in to the toilet, use the toilet and make your way back. You are in your own home with knowledge of the rooms and layout but you will still find this a scary task. Then imagine yourself having to be outside with no knowledge of where anything is. This should give your a small idea of how important sight is.

Rain. It's beautiful but a lot of us think of it as gloomy.
Birdsong. I lived in N. Hollywood for a while, and when I moved back to my smallish town I realized I never once heard birds in N. Hollywood. I also realized there was never one second of the day that you couldn't hear traffic. Yikes. So the next thing is...
Silence.

Kids. You see people with them and think nothing about it...then you have one of your own and you wonder how none of the people you see in the street pushing prams haven't run outside screaming how great it is!!
Of course then they grow up and that's a different story!
