I am going to America for 3 weeks on Saturday. I understand we don't need a visa beforehand, as we can just fill out the one on the plane, but we plan to go to Niagara for 1 day, do we need a special visa for that? Or, is it possible to 'do the falls' from the American side?

Thanks!

Jenni

You can see Niagra from the U.S. side, though the more spectacular view is on the Canadian side.

You probably would be able to cross over ok, but I would not recommend it, as you may have trouble re-entering the U.S. Most visa's such as the one you will be getting, are single-entry visa's. So crossing into Canada, then coming back into the U.S.A., even for a short time, would be considered a second entry and could cause you problems.

So, either content yourself with the view from the American side, or check everything out with BOTH embassies prior to going to Niagra.
