For instance - I was watching Gladiator last night and when Maximus is requested to remove his head gear by Commodus and to say who is Maximus says
"My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next."
and I love Meet Joe Black when Anthony Hopkins talks about love
"I say find someone you can love like crazy and who'll love you the same way back. And how do you find him? Forget your head and listen to your heart. I'm not hearing any heart. Run the risk, if you get hurt, you'll come back. Because, the truth is there is no sense living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love - well, you haven't lived a life at all. You have to try. Because if you haven't tried, you haven't lived
What film, what quote and why please!!

"Cause I might know you a little better than you think. And I don't want you waking up one morning thinking if you'd known everything you might have done something different."
This quote is from "The Notebook" -my favorite movie. I just think this one pretty much sums everything up.

Well the Star Wars movies have dozens of good lines.
"You can't handle the truth" from A Few Good Men was a good one.
There were two that I really liked from Courage Under Fire. "Was that one of our tanks?" and "She's dead."
There's a scene in The Long Kiss Goodnight where Gena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson are riding in the car after they had been in a fight. She asks him if he's thinking what she's thinking and he replys "I hope not. I'm thinking about how much my balls hurt."
I guess my all time favorite has to be from Airheads when Pip says "Don't move or I...I...I'll stab your heads off...WITH MY DICK AND BLOOD'S GONNA RUN OUT OF YOUR HEAD. THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT, BECAUSE I'M A MADMAN."
That look on his face as he says it is priceless.

an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy **** we don't need.
We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place.
We've all been raised on television.. to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off.

Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken.

This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time.
If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?
You had to give it to him: he had a plan. And it started to make sense, in a Tyler sort of way. No fear. No distractions. The ability to let that which does not matter.. truly slide.

Body Heat - with Kathleen Turner and William Hurt. Hurt's character Nick is hitting on Turner's character Mattie- she's already rebuffed him once, but he tries again- she smiles flirtatiously at him and says "You're not very smart are you? I like that in a man."

Hudson: What do you mean "THEY cut the power"? How could they cut the power, man? They're animals!
