everytime i use an application that requires more power to run,my pc just shuts down making this beep sound(the one that u get from the cpu while shutting down).i think its related to the hard drive because a lot of times when my pc doesnt even boot,i just remove the power cable connected to the hard drive and put it back again and the pc starts

Clear out all the rubbish that you don't use any more and you will be surprised how well the pc will work.

If it is truly a power problem, buy a new power supply. Hint; If you rebuilt your old computer with new components, you probably forgot to upgrade the power supply. If this is not the case I agree you probably need a new hard drive. Depending on your brand of HD there are diagnostic tools to test the HD using a boot disk in the A drive or CD drive.

Well, first of all, I'd find out what the beep means. There's a specific list that tells you what the beeps mean, but it's different for each board. But if you're pluggin in your HD to get your computer to boot up, U might need to buy a new drive....sorry for the bad news....

nothing to worry. whether u had beep sound with perticular time interval its related with ram issue. ur ram is having contact problem with connect to ur pc otherwise ram is dead....sorry

u can clean the ram and change the slot. it will come back to work like past.
