An interesting fact here for you boys and girls.... but apparently the fastest sentance to type is this:

"Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of the party"

If you every get a job interview to type something, type that, you will type it fast and easily.

I type at about 110 - 120 wpm, but thats because I use computers all day long at work.

I can type 98 wpm without mistakes, but, this didn't come easily, it took years of practice beginning in H.S. and carrying through employment. Having an extensive secretarial background, I began typing on and IBM Selectric typewriter, moved onto a Word Processor and then into the computer field. I am 47 years old and have been typing well over 30 years. Practice makes perfect. ~Maddy~

I did a test on line and got 51 wpm. I thought that was pretty good but I guess it's slow??? LOL

I type faster when I write what I want though, and when I have to stare at something and then type fast I get slower.

I type 75 wpm, not great but I my job is in accounting NOT typing...so that is pretty good IMHO. I agree, practice makes perfect. Now in 10-key I am at over 20,000 sph without errors which is really fast for 10-key.

Mine's somewhere in the 70s wpm...sometimes fingers get ahead of brain and I transpose or leave out letters but my accuracy is overall pretty good...

At work they tease me for "sounding" busy because you can hear the keys on my keyboard clacking away and most of the people I work with are 2-finger typists (engineers)...lol!
