Well I do not know which business you have in mind.
But from my own experience i will try to give you some tips so you can save your finances.
You said you have $1500 spare to start a business!
Someone can just rip you saying that buy this BUSINESS IN BOX pack for $1500 and you are the proud owner of this online business.
You will have website, and products and Blah Blah Blah.
I will suggest please try to understand the whole BUSINESS cycle, and do not waste your whole budget in start-up phase.
You know business cycle can be divided into three steps, and budget can be planned in the same way.
i.e.
Start-up > Promotion > Mantienence
So if you have $1500
You can say
$300 for start up setup
$600 for marketing, advertising, promotion
$600 for ongoing matiennce till you start producing inflow of cash.

As far as nature of business is concerned.
You can start online blog with adsense and related affiliate product on the site.
I mean
go to
www.blogger.com
start new blog at the subject you can write.
then keep writing on the subject
then go to
www.google.com/adsense
and put the adsense ads on your blog and you will start getting clicks and then commision.
now you can go to
www.clickbank.com
www.cj.com
and start suggesting related products to the blog reader, and you will earn commision for each sale.

Advance phase can be
your own domain name
and blog with wordpress
and who knows you come up with a information product related to your indusrty,
say "XX tips to learn XYZ in ABC hours/days"
and then you start selling this online on your own blog.
so far all services i suggested are FREE.
You have still $1500! :-)
Do this proffesionally after some expereince in blogging, and online biz,
you can invest $100 and own your own domain name and hositng..... then is a long JOURNEY you have to learn by trail and error.
