Even if you try your best not to take things personally, it still stresses you out. I hate it when people complain and they don't actually have grounds for complaining. Yet, they are under the impression that they;ve been treated unfairly or that you should have made an exception for them. I also hate those that moan and you try and help them but nothing is good enough, and when you ask them what is it they want exactly they are not even sure.
I try to relax at home and watch a comedy or go out with my friends.

I have to stay away from people like that as it affects me badly. I get terribly upset and depressed, rather avoid the moaners, the groaners and the naggers, stick with the positive people that way you will stay happy. I feel sorry for you, my daughter talks about the same thing, she has now changed her job and works for a few Drs, she is the only one their and ten times happier, the only people she is in contact with and that is the patients and she does not mind their moans at all.:))))

Well, I recently handed my notice in at my work and I suppose I've been doing the moaning over the past few months. As a result, it seems that at least two others are going to leave as well!
I think they were influenced, and whilst I feel I have good reasons for leaving, they don't seem to have any good reason.

No, I don't get influenced by these people at my workplace. I just listen to their groans or complaints. And I just pretend I'm listening to their stories like those I hear from people who call to radio stations to talk about their problems.

It has been proven that if you surround your self with "negative" people they will drain your happiness . (a bit like a magnet) Good luck on this one. Just try and switch off to them, easier said than done I know. Good luck.

The more miserable the person the happier I am when i am around them. I figure that this annoys them. Be especially bright and if asked how you are reply "Marvellous" "Splendid" or something similar.

The best way to deal with such people, is to turn on your cellphone and videotape them when they're ranting, and anonymously send it to the boss.
More likely than not, problem solved.

I find its easier to influence others rather than let them influence you!
If you have a positive connection with others they tend to be more positive toward you, even if not to others!
