Area = (pi)(R)(L), where L is the slant height of the cone
R = radius of cone base = 1.5 feet

Slant height L = sqrt((3/2)²+ 9²)
= sqrt((9/4) + 81)
= sqrt((9/4) + (324/4))
= sqrt(333/4)
= sqrt ([ (9)(37)] /(4) )
= 3/2 sqrt(37)

Using 3.1416 for pi,
A = (3.1416)(1.5)(1.5 sqrt(37)) = 43 square feet

Area = (pi)(R)(L), where L is the slant height of the cone

and L = sqrt ((d/2)^2 + h) d = diameter and h = height

L = sqrt (1.5^2 +9^2)
=sqrt83.25

Area = pi*d/2*L
=pi*1.5*sqrt83.25
=43 sq ft

Right Circular cone surface area Formula

s = π r² + π r s

s = 3.141592654(1.5)² + 3.141592643(1.5)(9)

s = 3.341592654(2,25) + 4.71238898(9)

s = 7.068583471 + 42.41150082

s = 49.48008429 feet
