The conservatives will tell you it's a liberal media. It goes round and round. I don't think any media should be biased, but they do so because it's news worthy and it's what people want to hear. They are biased and like biased views. In other words, they like others to think like them and agree with them.

I personally just want to know the facts. I don't care about some news anchor and their opinion.

well,

considering that in television media, liberal bias outnumbers conservative bias, nothing. Radio bias favors conservatives, and the web is balanced for consumption opportunities.

Media is a product. Gone are the days of the monopolies of few papers, few radio and tv stations. Even movies monopolies are on their way out, as technology makes it easier for indies to make movies.

People will consume the product they desire. Eliminate government regulation of the media and allow the marketplace to determine the price and quality of the product. If people demand a liberal bias, then liberal media will make money. If people demand a conservative bias, then conservative media will make money. If people demand a moderate media, then the moderate media will make money.

Dude, you must be hanging off of the left side of the scale if you think there is a Conservative bias in the media.

Well, let them have their say.

What REALLY irks me is that none of the other media will stand up and flatly state that the TOP seats in our government are occupied by THE founding members of PNAC, that PNAC even PUBLISHED it's plans to create an American Global Hegemony, that PNAC is essentially IN CONTROL of our government right now, that PNAC's white paper stated that their road would be a long one unless a "Pearl Harbor-type event" happened (stating this EXACTLY ONE YEAR before 9-11), nor does the media even mention PNAC at all.

I've only seen one recent reference to the Pentagon's special committee that had concluded there was an Osama-Saddam connection (which was used to convince us to go to war with Iraq) being headed by Paul Wolfowitz, the ideological father of PNAC, while that article did not mention his PNAC connection.

Don't you think PNAC being in control of our government is THE biggest possible news????

My father in law was a limbaugh conservative and would insult the old liberal media. I moved to DC and he would visit. He was astounded to read The Washington Post and its heavy handed coverage and criticism of then President Bill Clinton, and, dems on the hill.

After that, he felt that liberal media was a bit of an oversimplification.

You mean the same conservative bias that causes the media to give more air time to anti-republican viewpoints.

If you are going to lie at least tell ones that aren't obvious.

You have to use the majority to define conservative/liberal bias. Most studies agree (check out UCLA for example) that the press slants towards the Democratic party (although not the progressives).

Well if it were true, nothing, because we in America enjoy free speech and freedom of the press, even though it was abused by Dan Rather and the folks on the left leaning media outlets.

You must be kidding. Reporters in this country are overwhelmingly Democrat. Hollywood, the main stream press and the television news outlets (other than Fox) are on the far left.

encourage people not to have their 'news limited'. expose the neocon/media links so that thinking people have a chance to look for alt views.
