I am just about 32 weeks. I have been in very bad shape. i planned on working out a lot more after the baby. but for now i was just wanting to work on my arms in addition to walking. Just wondering if there is any risk in that. Maybe lift some light weights?

excersizing during pregnancy is totally fine. just dont overdo it. your not supposed to go above and beyond what your used to doing. i wouldnt pick up a extensive routine, just light stuff. if you were a bowler, you are able to bowl the entire pregnancy if thats what your used to, thats what my doc told me. i wouldnt do much lifting expecially if you havent yet. and be careful not to do alot of reaching, at this stage you want to be careful not to reach to high, this can wrap the cord around the babys neck. just be careful, but a little wont hurt. just remember that you want the baby to be in good shape too , so take it slow.

You could do. But just be aware of the arms not being over the head in any of your exercises. And keep the weights light. Dont over do it. After the baby comes and is about 6 to 8 weeks old there are great exercises you do alone or with baby, Lifting the baby for the next year or two will shape up those arms some.Congrats on the new baby!!

You should not lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk. So I would not start trying to lift any weights. You do not much longer and then you can start a full workout. It is not good for you if this was not something you were doing before you got pregnant. Your doctor will confirm this and lifting weights can cause you to pull something in your belly or the ligaments. Good luck!

You should always check with your OB before any exercise routine. Although I would think doing some toning exercises with light weights (2-3 lbs. max) wouldn't cause any problems, I think I'd still check with your doctor. I am going to try yoga and pilates for toning. I ordered a videos especially for pregnancy.

You need to limit that as it can and will send you into labor. Walking will cause you to have contractions. If you stick to dumb bells like 5lbs then you should be fine on toning your arms.
