I have heard that a past president of the U.S. has been sworn into office on the U.S. Constitution, not the bible. What is this president's name?

Teddy Roosevelt in 1901 did not have a Bible.

Hoover didn't "swear" his oath, he instead "affirmed" it.

You're probably thinking of John Q. Adams.

Theodore Roosevelt did not use a Bible when taking the oath in 1901.
