The Sky is light blue most of the time, when viewed from the ground.

It changes its colour from dawn to dusk

It turns a golden hue against the backdrop of the setting Sun.

It is black in colour at night, with the shining stars in the background.

The Sky is beautiful and it is so comforting with all the myriad colours and varied contours formed by the passing clouds.

I often make out different shapes in the sky with the help of the clouds during the day, and with the help of the stars at night.

The Sky makes for very good viewing, when seen in the horizon as it makes it's sublime touch on the beautiful Land, and on the Hills, and on the Sea.

Not to mention how the birds of the air make their presence felt in this beautiful scenery outlined before us, as they etch the Sky with their fluttering wings.

And you can see the beauty of the World in the Sky !

The reason there is so much disagreement on this is that the sky really has NO colour: it is transparent. At night, when the Sun is below the horizon, it's obvious that the sky is transparent, because we can see the Moon, planets, and stars, out to the Andromeda Galaxy 2.8 light years away. During the day, the sky appears coloured because of Rayleigh scattering: air molecules scatter blue light and water molecules scatter white light (clouds). The sky is STILL transparent: we can see the Sun and Moon through it. If you know exactly where to look, you can see Venus through it. At the second inauguration of Abraham Lincoln, thousands of people observed Venus in the daylight sky. With my telescopes, I have observed the planets Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury, and the stars Sirius and Procyon, in a clear blue daylight sky.
