I know some people who got green cards this way. Only a certain number of qualified people can reside and work in the U.S. When there are more applicants than vacancies, lotteries are held which fill the vacancies randomly. It's open only to qualified candidates, however, meaning people who are coming here legally.

Yes, it is real. But there is a caveat. You want to make sure it is absolutely legit before you enter.

There are a lot of con artists out there. They make a quick buck making all kinds of false promises. So called "Immig. Consultants" get in the act. There are a lot of genuine ones out there but to separate the good from the bad is a challenge indeed.

The website must be of US Govt. Immig.. and Naturalization. They usually list which countries get what quota etc.. Normally the Asian continent quota has full contribution so, not much is solicited from there.

You must understand what this is all about. Some countries, like Canada or European countries do not send enough in a year. These are left over from the unfulfilled quota from these regions. The US Govt. puts them up for lottery. It is not a racist policy or anything.

It is just one of those situations where representation from all parts of the world is invited.

If you are from one of those listed, go for it and take a chance. If it is legit, take a chance. Hey, you never know...........

No, there's no trick or lie. It's VERY easy to get a green card! Most people try to be deceptive, and that deception is what keeps them from getting a green card. Just be HONEST on the applications.

this is really a lottery. But US government normally prefer people who are from North Europe. I had 2 friends, who are originally from Norway. They get their green card through the lottery. And they told me they have many friends get green card through lottery, and most of them are from North Europe.

Are you some sort of agitator? If you were really interested in a green card, you'd know what US government websites to access.

I know several people with green cards. The cards and the people are very real.

I don't know, but sounds absolutely rediculous. Having basically a contest to see who gets to stay. What if a mass murderer won?
