Are you using an age appropriate teat? The flow rate could be too fast for him.

Probably the type of teat you're using. If the milk comes out too fast he'll start choking and gagging. You need to get slow flow or variable flow teats for his age, they normally say 1 or 2 on the teat, my 2 month old is on the 1 and he's fine

First of all how old is your baby if an infant like everyone else is saying the nipple may be too big. If he is older maybe he needs a cup because if he has teeth he could be biting the nipple and no matter what kind of nipple you give him he will choke on it!

first of all, how old is your baby? the bottle teat you might be using is not age-appropriate. you may have been using a teat with a larger hole meant for older babies. there is one type that MAY solve your problem--a cross-cut silicone teat which only has a one-way flow; meaning, the formula will flow ONLY when the baby sucks on it. HOWEVER, i would also suggest you have your pediatrician check your baby, just to be safe.

My baby does the same thing, I did some research on the Internet and it sounds like baby reflux. Remember never to leave your baby unattended with a bottle.

The hole in the nipple maybe too big. Make sure you have the baby sitting more up right before feeding. As if there is anything to come up, it will run down the chin.

does the teat you are using have fast flow as the milk could be coming out to quickly and making him choke, try a slower flowing teat and see if that helps

Check the nipple. It could be too long. It could be releaseing the milk too fast. They have newborn, 3 mo. and 6mo. nipples. Simply go to Walmart or a similiar store and buy a different nipple and one for the age of your baby.
